ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Dispatch Supervisor is accountable for overseeing the scheduling and dispatching of CDOT drivers and vehicles to planned routes and pick-up points, ensuring the smooth delivery of transit services. Reporting to the Operations Manager and closely collaborating with the Transit Coordinator, the Dispatch Supervisor is responsible for managing daily CDOT schedules, promptly addressing unforeseen driver shortages, vehicle breakdowns, road closures, or increased passenger demands, This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances while adhering to regulatory requirements and safety protocols in the transportation sector.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Supervise and manage the daily activities of the dispatch team, providing guidance as needed
§ Train, coach, and mentor dispatch team members to improve performance and efficiency
§ Provide clear, on-going communication to dispatch team on company updates, policy revisions and overall company/department goals
§ Monitor and maintain Coach Manager dispatching software to ensure up-to-date data integrity
§ Prepare reports and analysis on dispatch operations, including performance metrics and KPIs.
§ Coordinate the dispatching of vehicles and drivers to ensure efficient operations
§ Resolve issues raised by driver operators, ensuring timely and effective solutions
§ Promptly address emerging operational problems, implementing solutions to minimize impact
§ Coordinate regular and impromptu vehicle maintenance with the shop; alert management to service concerns not resolved in a timely and acceptable manner.
§ Maintain effective communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure smooth operations
§ Maintains a strong awareness of MCO responsibilities and assists leadership in ensuring MCO performance, timeliness, and incident reporting
§ Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
§ Prepare and submit reports on dispatch operations as required.
§ Cultivate a cooperative and professional relationship with all company employees to promote a comfortable, productive, and efficient work environment.
§ Provide assistance with projects or additional tasks from other departments as required.
§ Perform dispatcher functions when the operational need arises.

SCHEDULE
Non-Exempt: In light of the nature of the transportation industry, the Company does not maintain regular business hours. You are expected to work customary business hours but will vary as determined by the Company’s specific business needs. Schedules are subject to change and may require early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, or multiple-day shifts. Flexibility with the work schedule and the ability to work any shift assigned is required.

Education / Experience
§ High School diploma or GED
§ 2 years of transportation industry experience

§ Knowledge of the motorcoach industry and/or transportation industry
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Demonstrates strong general math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Performs these operations with units of American currency, Regular and Military time, and imperial measurements of weight, volume, and distance.

Compensation Range: $26.00 – $29.00/hour starting
